The Prince Of Dub

young-warrior_1

We were going to wait until next Monday to make this announcement, but the suspense is just too much to bare!

The 3 princes of Serendub will be joined by an extra-special guest on the “Soundsystem Education” floor on Friday night, hailing from the Prince of Dub Soundsystem, representing the heavyweight dub sound from the UK, the son of the mighty Jah Shaka – the one and only:

Few artists can claim such a lifelong exposure to dub music and Soundsystem culture. Living in the legacy of the mighty Jah Shaka, Young Warrior has been shaped from his childhood by one of the world’s most influential figures in Dub.

Over the past decade he has created his own unique heavyweight style, with releases on Jah Shaka Music & Ariwa – including the Dub Box LP – as well as remixes for the legendary Congo Natty.

Young Warrior’s sets boast a very cutting edge yet old school sound, travelling through “roots & culture” dub music from the 70’s up to the present day, always in the traditional Shaka warrior style; delivering a musical message to the elders and the next generations to come!

Catch Young Warrior headlining the Serendubity floor on Friday, June 9th at A Bass Odyssey in Berlin, alongside Umberto Echo (live), Jah Schulz (live), Acid Dub Foundation (live), Catitah & Flimmerkiste!

We are very happy to have the amazing artist and illustrator Eric Tiedt on board for the first Bass Odyssey Festival at Mensch Meier from June 9th-11th! We’ve had the privilege of working with him on other projects a few times in the past, but his newest design really takes the cake!
