Dark Real Dark was launched in May 2017 as a platform to promote various output – whether releases, podcasts, graphic designs or otherwise – from a network of like-minded DJs, producers and other creative individuals from across the bass music spectrum. In August they began a monthly podcast series and in September started a more or less regular video live-stream.
As their crew continued to grow, they began organising or featuring at a number of events in Berlin at venues such as Panke, YAAM, Mensch Meier & VOID, as well as in Potsdam & Hamburg, and an unofficial set at the Tubebox Bar in Fusion Festival last year. In July, 2018, they made their debut release of “Precursa” by Montblanko, and in December they put out their first official compilation “Viewpoints – Vol. 1“, which also saw a release on a stylish, limited-edition, yellow cassette tape!
On Friday, May 31st, the Dark Real Dark crew – 65 Shapeshifters, Petroschi, Linko & Bwoi – will be joined by NOT YOUR GIRLFRIEND and a high-quality, L-Acoustics sound system to bring you the best in grime, UK bass, halftime, footwork, jungle and the sounds of the future!
